It is busy here with holiday preparations, so I will keep this short & to the point!
In case you missed my last post, I took some of my figurative work to the Clackamas County Public Services Building in Oregon City yesterday. The address and hours are:
December 10, 2013 – March 11, 2014
2051 Kaen Road, 2nd floor, Oregon City, Oregon 97045
Mon-Thurs. 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
While there, I met another neighbor who is a photographer, Chip Greendale. I love knowing there are other creatives close by.
In other big news, my 2014 Calendars arrived, just in time for me to order more! I’m sending a few of these to clients who purchased big paintings this year. And there is a very nice 30% off coupon that will make them even more affordable. I’m very pleased with the quality of the printing and the metal coil binding is nice. Maybe you would like one!? If so, you can click the orange button to buy now. Use the coupon code DECKTHESHELF to receive the discount!
Finally, I also received news yesterday that my painting “Runaway” which I started as a demo at the Emerald Art Center’s First Friday event, was accepted into the 39th Annual Western Federation of Watercolor Societies Exhibition. The show will take place in Scottsdale, AZ in April, 2014. I’m thrilled to be included, and very happy for the other 8 artists from Oregon whose work was selected. Here are their names:
Liz Walker Even In the Quietest Moments
Patricia Renner Ballerina in Boots
Cynthia M. W. Holloway Data Stream Manuscript Download
Ruth Armitage Runaway
LaVonne Tarbox Crone Scissors with String

Thank you Jeanette! Happy Holidays to you too!
Congratulations on being accepted for WFWS. Your series is just terrific. Great to see the names of other Oregon artists that were accepted and kudos to them. Thanks for posting.
Thanks Hal!
Hi Ruth–Terrific to see that you and Kathy Tiger both have paintings in the calendar. it is fun for me to know such creative fun women artists!
Congratulations on your acceptance into WFWS. Pretty soon all the initials after your signature will take up the width of the work. You’re onto a very appealing series, Ruth.
