Watercolor was my first love, and still teaches me new things each time I work with it. Artists who have tried many mediums consider that watercolor is perhaps the most difficult of all, but its rewards outweigh its challenges. Many of my watercolors include opaque media. I use white gouache, caran d’ache crayon, Stabilo pencil, and sometimes acrylic in conjunction with the watercolor. I teach water-media classes in Oregon and around the country.
