It’s been a busy and productive few weeks. As soon as I got home from the Salem Art Fair, we had two adorable exchange students from China arrive: ‘Vi-Vi” and ‘Emily’. They made the most of their few weeks here, heading for classes downtown every day, including shopping, tourism and more shopping. They kept us hopping and introduced us to some very spicy Szechwan dishes. The day they left, I headed off to Art Camp at Menucha.
It was a busy & fun-filled week, complete with a crazy Hat Night, Bingo and late night chats with friends.
But it wasn’t all fun & games… we worked hard too. I was very pleased with everyone’ work in class! Here are some shots on the last day. I’m sorry I didn’t get a photo of Barbara’s display 🙁
Corinne and Ila both honored me by purchasing one of my demonstrations. I guessthey will remember the lesson 🙂 Here are a couple of the demos that sold:
Since I’ve been home I’ve been working in the studio a bit, and weeding a lot! It seems the weeds moved in while I was away for a week. Oh well, I guess I will catch up eventually 🙂 Enjoy your day & drop me a comment if you liked my ramblings.
Ruth, Looks like your class was a success. I really need to get to one of your classes! Really love “Garden Poem”.
Thanks Marilyn! We worked hard and it paid off. I had a great bunch of students and they kept me on my toes 🙂 I hope we can work a class into your schedule one of these days too!
Congradulations on another great art workshop! I know I can relate to all the weeds moving into my big yard in a week or two of not being outside. Work has been busy for me and I spent last night spraying with roundup only to wake up at 4:30 with back pain!:( C’est la vie! At least I can get in the big hot tub and look at the beautiful stars and view here. (and you can’t see any weeds at night!)
love ya!
Jeanie
I love that the weeds don’t show at night, LOL!
Looks like everyone had a great time while getting good work done. If you run out of weeds I have plenty at my place.
Thanks Bruce 🙂 Sadly, I think I have an unlimited supply here. Just when I think I have them all eliminated, more pop up!
Dappled Light is one of my favorite paintings of your since I’ve started following your work. I love the abstractness of it. It works!
Thanks Lucy! I wish they all turned out that well… it was an inspiring week 🙂
