“Summer Night” copyright Ruth Armitage, Acrylic on Paper 22×30″

Yesterday was the day for hanging art at the Lakewood Center for the Arts in Lake Oswego. I have ten paintings in the lobby area, including this romantic piece. Local artist Mary Dennis also has some beautiful oil pastels displayed. Her gestural abstracted landscapes are a nice compliment to my figurative pieces. Fans of my dancers series will find several large works in this show.

Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State Street, Lake Oswego, Oregon. The show will be on display December 3 – January 9, 2012.

  • Weekdays: 9am – 5 pm weekdays
  • Saturdays: 10am – 4pm
  • Show Nights: 6pm Until Curtain

Stop in to see some of your colorful favorites. If you have a wall in your home that could use a touch of color, you might drop a hint with Santa! I wanted to share some fun little clips of the holidays from our house… all the animals get into it here!

Lola has taken up almost permanent residence by the fire! This little “Cine” pronounced Cinnie give you the mood for the painting above 🙂

And Red dog loves to ‘point’ out the cats who lounge under the Christmas tree. She is so still, she barely twitches. They know she is there, ready to pounce, but they can’t be bothered to move.

Erin’s dog Chloe is wondering why I’ve dressed her in this festive sweater!? Maybe she will get an invitation to a Christmas Sweater party?

Thanks to Loretta Benedetto Marvel for turning me on to Cinegram! She described them as just like the paintings in the Harry Potter movies! I hope you are all getting into the holiday spirit!
