In June my son & I took a trip to Yellowstone National Park for the first time. I am not a photographer, but above is my favorite photo from the trip. We encountered all kinds of weather, from rain, hail, snow and ice to sun & 70 degrees. Tim’s favorite part of the trip was seeing all the unique geology up close & personal. My favorite part was viewing all the wildlife up close & personal. Both of us enjoyed some bonding time to celebrate his graduation from High School. I know I won’t have time like that alone with him again for many years, if ever, and I feel very lucky that my husband encouraged me to take him.
We also connected with a 2nd cousin who lives about an hour west of Yellowstone. I haven’t seen him since I was in high school, and he’s 83 now. It was fascinating to catch up with him and get a few more tidbits of family history. I had hoped to have my blog up & running before I left for the trip, but of course it took longer than expected, so this is a catch-up post!
Well, you know I’m one of your biggest fans, Ruth. Your images are so completely expressive, in subject, color and stroke.
I will visit your blog often, to see what you’re up to. I will, I’m certain, be continually amazed at your ability to be awake and productive for a full 24 hours, for that is what it seems.
Your energy is contagious. May it be contagious to all of your fans and blog-viewers!
I love your blog!
