The latest in my new series, “Down on the Farm.” I’ve used some of the techniques I learned in Judy Wise’s online Cold Wax class, including layering thin veils of color (my favorite) texturing, squeegee, and steel wool. I find it interesting how each medium informs the other, and how the series has continued to unfold. More on Palimpsest here. a parchment or the like from which writing has been partially or completely erased to make room for another text, or a manuscript on which two or more successive texts have been written, each one being erased to make room for the next.

This class is designed to help you overcome creative stumbling blocks. We will explore new ways of developing subject matter, examine different design options and paint our subjects with attention to dominance. The work of master artists will be our guide. My goal is not to get you to paint like me, but for you to see some sparks that light a flame for future paintings. All levels of experience welcome, both watercolor and acrylic, any style.
I like Palimpsest. Keeps me looking and exploring!
Thanks!
Really lyrical and gorgeous!
Thanks Randall!
