So, my husband and son want to know what I am doing while they are watching hockey.  What is fascinating me on my teeny tiny laptop that could possibly compete with burly men on thin blades of metal, skimming the ice at top speed and hurtling into each other with enormous force in the chase of a small round black disc?

I’m starting a blog, I reply.  “No one needs a blog” says my 18 yr. old son.  “Can you make money with it?” asks my husband.  Why am I starting this?

The truth is that I love to view blogs, people’s thoughts and images and daily lives.  I find it inspiring and thought provoking and I want to be part of the circle. Besides, I need a distraction from the constant barrage of sports that parade through our family room on the 51″ plasma.  Also, I’m hoping that by doing this type of public journaling I might be holding myself a bit more accountable to get things done artistically!  But mostly, I just think it is a great opportunity to share thoughts & inspirations.

Wish me luck in getting this set up!  I may be able to follow directions, but “Code is (NOT) poetry” to me.
