A plein air study from a paint-out with my friend Randall Tipton last week. I love how this captures the shimmer of light on the creek through the undergrowth. Available at auction on Daily Paintworks. I think summer is on its way out here. I found working this small on location to be easier than tackling a large painting. I also enjoyed the feel of the oil paint vs. watermedia. I hope to get a few more sessions outdoors before the rains start here.
