This painting began as a demonstration for my workshop two weeks ago. I finally feel like I finished it yesterday, after battling a virus this past week. It was difficult to re-enter the painting having been away from it for a while.
But I like how the darker area of the painting adds drama now. My friend Blenda was here working on a presentation for the Watercolor Society of Oregon coming up next month. She was able to give me a few hints of how to finish it up! I love having neighbors that are artists.

Ruth, this really is one of my very favorites of this series. The mix of large and small, calm and exciting seems just right. The electric blue woven throughout is really powerful!
