Free Printable Christmas Card

You can print the Christmas Cards on your home computer, or have them printed on card stock at your own local printer. Please, only personal use, no re-sales! Yesterday I took some time to alter one of my class demonstration paintings for a Christmas Card. I used PicMonkey.com, a free online photo-editing tool, to add light effects, texture, border and text to my image. This year I decided to buy my cards locally instead of getting my printing done from an online source. I was so pleased with the quality, price, quick turnaround and great customer service at Buel’s Impressions Printing right here in Oregon City. Several artist friends had recommended them, and I agree wholeheartedly! They even caught and corrected a typo for me!

I also had a chance to send a painting home with my friend Lisa Annand of Creative Visions Landscapes, Inc.. Lisa did a beautiful garden design for the area near our barn and I can’t wait to see it completed. She and her daughter came yesterday to pick out a painting in trade. Their choice is one of my favorites: ‘Skating.’ I hope it brings them pleasure for years to come. Lisa wanted Emma to help pick it because she will some day receive it when her mom is gone. I love the idea of a piece of art being passed down through generations. I have a painting that was my Grandmother’s and it always reminds me of her.

I’d like to take the time to write more about shopping local, but I’m hosting my art group here this weekend: 30 guests! I need to get cracking on the setup, cleaning and putting away all my clutter 🙂 I hope your holiday is joyful!
