There is a large wetland near my friend Tangie’s house that always attracts me. The day I took the reference for this image, an enormous flock of wild swans was feeding here. I tried to imbue this painting with the grace and mystery of their calls and movements without actually adding them.
I like how the texture of the wood panel comes through in areas of the painting. Edges of this cradled panel are finished in a neutral gray, so the work may be hung as is, or framed in the moulding of your choice.
Ruth, Beautiful painting. I can see a few “figures” dancing. I would too if I lived there.
Thanks Chris!
Beautiful. So evocative with unexpected colors and areas.
Thank you Lorna 🙂
Your palette keeps the mood tranquil and serene. Beautifully done!
Thank you Katherine!
