In going through paintings for this weekend’s Hyland Estates show, it hit me how much work has been stacking up in my studio! I decided that if I don’t do something about getting rid of some of it soon, I will be buried in art approximately three years from now 🙂
I had been thinking of joining an online site for marketing my artwork for some time, but kept putting it off. Why? The timing wasn’t perfect (it never is!) I wasn’t sure it would be a success (that usually takes time.) It might be difficult to set up (it wasn’t.) My prices might have to change (or not.) Finally, the procrastination police came to my house & arrested me!
Regular visitors will notice a new widget on the sidebar of the blog for Daily Paintworks. I like the ease of managing the site, though I’m still learning some of the ins & outs. I hope you will visit my online gallery & let me know what you think. As you can see, I am experimenting with auctions on some of my demonstration paintings. Maybe you’ll even find something you love!
My hope is that this will encourage me to post paintings more often and encourage you to collect them!
Hope this new marketing approach is successful for you, Ruth. Please let us know how it goes. And have a great weekend at Hyland Estates!
Thanks Hal 🙂
“Procrastination Police came and arrested me” …I can hear you saying that with a wink and a smile. I will be quoting you!
I will visit Daily Paintworks. Thanks for the link.
Linda
Keep painting. We’ll come help shovel you out like neighbors after a winter storm.
Thanks Linda & Roxanne 🙂 It’s good to have friends.
