If you’re reading this post, you’ve entered my new website! I’m so excited about the new look… it’s been a long time in development, but I think it has been worth the wait! I love having my blog & site all under one domain, and the new clean and easy way to display paintings, update students and let people buy artwork.
I plan to list available work, where it can currently be viewed (besides here) and how to purchase. You’ll notice that when you view the Paintings page, you can either enlarge the painting with the magnifying glass and scroll through the images without going back to the gallery, or enlarge with the square arrow and view detailed information about each work. I hope you’ll take some time to explore the new site & let me know what you think in the comments!
Today is our final class for “Focus on Color’. This intimate group has really worked hard for the past six weeks, and today we’ll get to see all their paintings together. I’ll try to get some photos to share with you. We have decided to continue after the holidays with “Shape up your Shapes”, January 19-February 23. For six weeks, you’ll be able to focus on improving your shapes to let your personality, style and creativity dominate your paintings. All media are welcome… I hope you’ll join us!
This class will be limited to six participants, so get in while you can….You can sign up online at the link above… please note that you can choose to attend all six sessions, or just a few. Simply select how many weeks you’d like from the drop-down menu. I do have an optional ‘snow-day’ reserved for March 2, just in case the weather turns ugly. Winter is the perfect time to hole up & paint! The small painting above: “Nostalgic Sea” was just one of the demos I did for “Focus on Color”
Come back & visit me soon, for new artwork and inspiration!
Hi Ruth,
Wow! Your new site is simply wonderful! I especially like the front page where you give little snippets of what we can expect to find on your site. XOBlenda
Thanks Blenda 🙂 I updated the address for your link too.

Ruth, this is really great. How slick to have your website and blog together. I know this took a lot of time and energy in all the decision making. Good work!
Thanks Margaret! It wasn’t just the decision making… lots of problem-solving and research… resizing photos…. uploading info, revising, writing…. I can’t believe it’s finally almost complete. I still need to update some of the paintings page with resized images. Now that I know how to do it, though, it’s not so daunting 🙂
Ruth, great job on your new website! Putting together new websites is such fun, isn’t it? 🙂
It has been very interesting to watch the progression of your recent paintings. I’m looking forward to seeing new ones as you finish them!
Thanks Rob! Website design can be fun & frustrating at the same time…. kind of like a huge jigsaw puzzle! I’m looking forward to having an easier way to upload paintings as they are complete though 🙂
Ruth! I loved spending the weekend with you! 🙂
You’re amazing, it was so fun to watch you create.
Much Love,
Jenny
Thanks Jenny, the feeling is mutual! It was so fun to get to know you a little & watch you create! I look forward to visiting your blog 🙂
Wow Ruth – what a beautiful new site! I have been thinking about the possibility of combining a blog and website into one center. Looks like it’s truly possible – you’ve done a great job! I especially love your slideshow.
Thank you Donna! I really love the new look too 🙂 I really enjoy your thoughtful blog… always look forward to your posts.
