After a long afternoon in the studio with nothing to show for it, I was happy to sit down at the computer and find an email from the Sitka Center for Art & Ecology announcing the 2014 workshop catalog and registration.
If you’ve never been to the Sitka Center, please take a peek at this terrific video of what goes on during workshops in this beautiful setting on the Oregon Coast. I was thrilled to see my friend and fellow instructor, Patricia Schmidt, in the video, and my neighbors Marv and Allison as well!
My workshop, “Painting, a Series of Choices”, runs September 23 – 25, 2014. The cost is $195 for all three days and the class size is limited to 14. Registration will open to Members of Sitka on February 25, and to the general public on March 10, 2014.
Course Description: Bring out the intensity and emotion of your subject by exploring different design strategies in a series of paintings. Participants will make three paintings on their chosen subject, working in watercolor, acrylic, watercolor on yupo or all three. Some painting experience is helpful.
Good news for you! Sharing your love of art through teaching is growing and growing.
Thanks Margaret! I am really looking forward to teaching at Sitka. It is a special place!
