It has been said that art is a tryst, for in the joy of it maker and beholder meet. ~Kojiro Tomita
I always enjoy reading about others’ creative process. Here I’ve collected some links of excellent artist interviews from around the web. Not only do you get a peek inside the process and experiences of these wonderful artists, but many of these sites provide other resources for the artist. If you’d like a link to another artist interview added, email me.
I especially enjoy the many interviews and artist links available on the Daily Paintworks News blog. I am considering joining their site. Let me know if you have experience with being part of a group art website like this. I would be interested to hear your perspective.
Thanks for taking the time to put this together on your blog. I’ve no doubt these interviews will be interesting and inspiring. So far I’ve only had time to read the interview of Randall David Tipton and found it fascinating. Again, thanks.
Thanks Hal,
Great to see you & your wife on the studio tour today!
Hi Ruth, The Daily Painters site is interesting; I’ll be curious to see if you join the site. I’ve not joined a similar site, though it seems like a good idea.
I didn’t realize you were working in oils these days. It seems like a natural extension of your artistic vision. Wonderful!
Thanks Peggy 🙂 I will let you know how it goes if I join!
Alyssa Wendorff’s interview is on Local Artist Interviews, which is my site. If you are a 2d/3d artist in MN, you can create an artist profile “interview” for the site and use it as a launching point to promote your work. There never seems to be adequate arts coverage in the media, so I’ve become the media.
