Thank you readers of Art is Truth!
I’m celebrating my 8th blog anniversary with a giveaway! I was looking for something all readers, both artists and collectors, might be able to use. So, I thought, everyone needs to look at a pretty calendar, right? It is just one way to thank you for being readers. Your comments and feedback keep me going!
This is not a contest or drawing – it is for everyone! You can download the free desktop calendar below and use it as your desktop image. Simply click on the photo, which links to downloadable files in 4 sizes. Finally choose the size that best fits your desktop as my gift to you, and click the download button in the upper right..
I’ve also decided to do a drawing for this hand embellished notebook! It is a small, Canson Art Book 180.
I’m hoping it will remind you to look at the stars, even during the darkest nights.
(And, of course, to read Art is Truth!) This little notebook is small enough to fit in a pocket or bag, and it is a great place to make notes on art!
I used Golden High Flow Acrylic with a dip pen to draw some patterns… then added some washi tape along the binding and edge.
Join Me for Splash! This Sunday, 11:30 -2:00 at First Presbyterian Church, SW 12th & Alder in Portland. Through August 7th.
If you’re a loyal reader of this blog, what keeps you coming back? Leave me a comment, and best of luck in the drawing! While you’re here, take a look at some of the great events coming up. I’d love to see you at one of them! I look forward to another year of sharing some of the inspiration and process that gets my art going. What topics would you like to see covered here?

Thanks Linda 🙂 I enjoy your blog so much – glad to be able to return the favor 🙂
Happy Blog Anniversary Ruth! I liked your question about why I keep coming back to your blog and wanted to think on it. To answer your question, I thought about why I started following your blog in the first place. It was because you were and are an Oregon water media artist. I was curious. I keep following and coming back to your blog because I enjoy reading your thoughts about making art.
Best wishes on another good year!
Thank you Peggy! I also enjoy reading YOUR thoughts about making art 🙂 Keep on blogging!
Thank you Ruth, love your blogs and your ART!
Happy 4th.
Thanks Nancy! And I hope you have a wonderful Independence Day too!
