Maybe it is the craziness of getting ready for the show plus getting the kids prepped to move to their first places, but I’m having a terrible time thinking of a title for this painting. I want something that implies the bird as messenger or muse.
All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.

Title suggestions are welcome… leave me a comment!
Today is setup for the West Linn Arts Festival. It looks like the weather will be very cooperative… nice and warm! I hope to see lots of people coming out to support working artists. Stop by Willamette Park in West Linn Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 10-5. This beautiful riverside venue is located at 1100 12th St, West Linn Oregon between Tualatin Ave. and Volpp Street. Click here for a map.
They have a great lineup of artists, including buddies Bonnie Taylor Talbot, Jamie Linton, Jennifer Lommers, Jill Mayberg and Bruce Ulrich. Of course there are lots of others, but I’m giving you some of the highlights 🙂
Also, don’t forget to mention the postcard offer when you stop in! Whatever you are up to this weekend, I hope it is full of artistic inspiration. Art enriches our experience and brings meaning to our lives.
Best wishes for a good weekend– hope you have good weather, and really good sales.
Thanks Donna!
“Listening To My Gentle Muse”
That’s about all I can come up with for now.
I really like this figure, the colors in her coat.
Carrie
Thanks Carrie 🙂
Ruth,
So glad you are part of the West Linn Arts Festival
when the weather will be nice.
For some reason I want the bird to be singing to the lass. So here is some brainstorming that might help you find a title for your painting :
Song Sung Blue
Gentle Song
Secret Song
Simple Melody
Joyful Song
Maybe by now you have your title.
Go gettum in West Linn,
Linda
I meant to mention in my first comment that I like the quote from Tolle about ‘inner silence’.
Update: I ended up titling the painting “Listen II” and it was the first painting to sell at the show!
