It can’t be a week already since my workshop on color started! Last week’s class included wonderful students from Roseburg, Corvallis, Salem, Lake Oswego & West Linn! Since then, I’ve been down with a stomach bug, not able to do much but enjoy browsing the internet and watch bad movies.
*Students! I wish I had thought to take photos of your work while you were here! If you’d like to have your work posted on my site, email me a photo of your favorite painting from the workshop & I will update this post with your images :)*
I’ve shown here some of the demonstration paintings I did in the workshop… We each worked on interpreting the same subject in different ways throughout the workshop, and everyone painted from their own references. It was so rewarding to see light bulbs come on for all of you!
Finally there is a shot of all the happy painters at work. It was a rainy, dark day, but the studio was warm and bright! I enjoy teaching so much… Looking forward to the next classes!
It looks like a wonderful workshop, Ruth.
I really enjoy your workshops, Ruth. You are a very thoughtful and inspiring instructor.
Your demos are wonderful! Each offers a completely different mood. Love the color palettes and movement!!
Hi Ruth! Your demo paintings are fascinating. I always find it interesting to see how meaning and expression change with different approaches to color. Congrats on your successful workshop teaching! Your stomach bug sounds like not-so-much-fun; I hope you get better soon!
