First, the good news: Bluebird was accepted into the Northwest Watercolor Society’s “Waterworks” show, coming up in October/November in Bellevue, Washington. I’m honored to be one of 10 artists from Oregon that were accepted! The juror was Betsy Dillard Stroud. It is nice because my neighbor, Chris Stubbs, and I will be able to drive our paintings, rather than ship them, which can be expensive.
The show will be held at New Dimensions Gallery October 28 through the first week of December. Stop in if you are in the area! There is an opening reception on October 30 from 6-8 p.m.
The bad news is, my entry for the Watercolor Society of Oregon was not accepted. Oh well… I guess you can’t be greedy! Image of my WSO entry is below:
Beautiful as always paintings, Ruth! Congrats on getting into the NWS Show. Looks like you’ve been having an action packed summer. Good times. -Blenda
Ruth,
Congratulations on your accepted painting and boo-hoo for the other.
Good luck on recovering from your back injury. Don’t do any redecorating for awhile! Is the room having to stay mid-paper-pulling?
Margaret
Thanks Margaret!
No, a very kind friend stepped in to finish the job in exchange for a painting… an earlier version of “Bluebird” I have a paint color picked (I think) and she is scheduled to come over on the 23rd to paint… the day before my son leaves for college.
Off to the studio 🙂 Thank heaven I can still do that!
