“Farm Cat” ©Ruth Armitage, Oil on Canvas 14″x11″

The devastation from Hurricane Sandy has touched the lives of so many. Artists are reaching out to help in any way they can. I have donated “Farm Cat” pictured above to be auctioned on the Daily Paintworks Site in the Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser. All proceeds will benefit the Red Cross. It is my hope that this painting will find a home, and help build a home at the same time.

Seth Apter, who lives in NYC, is also sponsoring an art auction at his site: The Altered Page.  Hop on over and put in a bid! He has artwork from some of the artists included in his book The Pulse of Mixed Media.

Also, my friend Blenda Tyvoll is auctioning two of her beautiful prints on ebay to benefit victims of this disaster. If you have art that you’re auctioning to help in the recovery effort, feel free to leave a link in the comments of this post! And share a link to the post wherever you can to spread the word… Thanks!
