“Autumn Stream” ©Ruth Armitage, Oil on Panel 7″x5″

This is another study done on location on the Tualatin River last week. The fall colors were just starting to show. It was warm and very windy! Available on my Daily Paintworks  auction.

I spent a wonderful weekend with friends up near Mt. Hood at the Watercolor Society of Oregon’s Fall Convention and exhibition. Our twice a year gathering has much to offer: Social time with other artists, demonstrations, lectures, critiques, vendor expos, paint-outs, plus the juried exhibition. Also we spend time planning future meetings. It was a full weekend, and the weather was glorious!

Here are a few photos 🙂

I was very thrilled that my painting in the show won an Achievement Award! I received a nice gift certificate from Cheap Joe’s Art Materials and a check!

“Truly, Madly, Deeply” conveyed a sense of emotion for the juror, Chris Van Winkle. Click on the title to see the image!
