I’ve been busily framing and finishing paintings this week for my exhibit at Victorhill Farm which starts tomorrow! Do you think I have time to do one more new painting? Ha Ha 🙂 Here are a couple of new ones that I plan to show

I hope you can join me! I plan to be there for the Preview Party Friday night from 6-9 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 11-5. It is close to my home: 14957 S. Leland Road, Beavercreek, OR 97004. Blenda will also have some of her work on display, as well as festive trimmings for you home. Click here for a map.

I also wanted to put up a picture of my class last weekend! We had such a productive and creative weekend together. It was a pleasure to set the ‘Spark’ to each of your fires. I’m looking forward to my next spark session in Roseburg this month. If you’re interested in signing up for my next session, send me an email or subscribe to my newsletter & blog for further updates. I’m getting closer to setting a date for the next class!

A Busy Studio is a Happy Studio!

I will share one of the exercises that I sent students home with for a creative spark: Paint a ‘silly’ or ‘funny’ painting about your subject.  Here is one I did in our online encaustic class… I used tracing paper to draw the outline of the figure without looking at my underpainting, so it doesn’t quite line up. She is a little goofy, but I love her 🙂
